My CVS haul!!!

Hey there bloggers!
I decided to enter the world of CVS shopping and ECBs and I am very happy with my trip today!!

I realized that I put back my scrubbing bubbles because I thought I had the total that I needed but I really didn't so i'll have to go back for one more thing.. and I could have swore that I put up my coupon for the tooth paste but its not showing that it took it off on there, but I believe it was only for .50 cents or $1, which adds up but maybe it was put towards something else and I'm just not realizing it? Or i'll have to go check my coupon stash and see if I did use it.

Picture of my haul (Lucy just HAD to get in the picture, and she was sitting so nice I just couldn't shoo her away.. and don't mind the easter decorations and the valentines arrangement I haven't stuffed away yet -.- )

I plan on going back to buy $3 more of glade product so that I can get the $4ECB and I have $1 ECB left over PLUS $2.37 coming on 4/1 from the winter spending thing.. so I think I am going to wait until then to buy it then I can use the 2.37 towards the $3 and get $4 ECB and i'll have $5 ECB total! Some painting advice needed!

So I bought this birdhouse a couple of months ago:

And its been sitting around ever since.. it got cold out and I never got time to paint it. Now that its spring.. or deciding whether it wants to be spring... I am gathering up all of my stuff that has been sitting in my project pile and that needs painted. This being one of them. I do think it is unique the way that it is, but I think it needs painted..

I am between a white and a robins egg blue. Now I have nothing of either color in my house.. with the exception of one birdhouse that I bought its a chippy white. I think the blue might be a bit too much and too bright for my house and the decor.. im thinking of doing it white, chipping it up just a little bit...

Just looking for some advice!! and comments would be appreciated!

i have lots of extra moss im going to make a little nest and add a cute bird to it whenevr its done.

On my to do list are two trays, the one pictured and another slightly larger white wooden one with painted flowers

I love the bright robins egg blue of this tray.. it doesn't go with anything of mine, but i think i might keep it and just lay some type of scrap book paper on it.. something black or black and white..
The white one I am going to repaint white since it has flowers all over it.

This little jewlery box:

I LOVE the color of the wood, its actually in VERY good condition, I just DO NOT like the flowers on the top... id really just love to stain it a dark color rather than spray painting it.. but if i do spray paint it i think i am going to do it a bright color.. one that i dont use so that it stands out.

Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on removing that flower so that I can just stain it? I dont think theres any way but you never know!!!

Thanks everyone for reading and hopefully I can get some good suggestions out of you all!!! :) :)

Tornados and bigger than golf ball sized hail!

So today was quite the eventful day.
We sat down for our managers meeting at work at 4:30pm. One of the girls who came in said we had a tornado warning which none of us were aware of, but we shrugged it off, weve had them before but nothing really ever happens.
Well yeah, it did. The front came through twice, both times very quickly. It got CRAZY dark and I mean to the point it looked like midnight (no joke) at 4pm. We though the menu board in the back of the building ripped out and started bashing off the back of the building. But it turned out to be hail which was golf ball sized, if not bigger.
Then the tornados started. we didnt actually get one at our store, but did get multiple ones 5 minutes down the road. The one ripped the roof off of one of the high schools. My friend took the picture from her house of the one funnel cloud and sent it to me while I was at work. Im sure if we looked hard enough outside we would've seen one too.

It was just crazy. Nothing of mine was damaged, none of our cars were damaged at work either I have no idea how we managed that one! And I don't know anyone personally who had anything damaged but I know looking on the news channels website there was a lot of stuff destroyed and my heart goes out to them!

And just because I took this picture a few days ago and thought it was slightly amusing.
This would be my lovely LucyFurr, ignoring mommy's attempt at loving her. >.<

Show Me Your Ring!!!

Did you look at rings together?
I always looked at rings online and showed him things that I liked. But then his mom gave us her old engagement/wedding rings to use if we wanted. Our friend works for Helzberg in the mall so we took the rings to her at a restyle event. I was never a fan of pear shape diamonds until she took the main stone out and found the PERFECT setting to put it in with two other pear shapes around it. I think it is just perfect. WAY more than I ever intended on spending on a ring, but its perfect!

Do you like your ring? Did you from the beginning?...and be honest!
When she gave it to us, not really.. i was never a fan of pear cuts, and it had a gold band and different settings to put it with.. i didnt care for it but i was interested in seeing what we could do at a restyle.

How often do you wear your rings?
Always.. I used to take it off when I showered because it always seemed to get blah after a few showers.. after i get it cleaned ill take it off just so i can keep it bright and sparkly but then ill just forget. The only jewlery I wear are the things that he bought me and I never ever take them off.

Do you clean your rings?
I take them to the place we got it restyled at since our friend works there, plus I need inspections on it every 6 months. I usually take it every time I go to the mall just because im there. I would like to get something to clean it myself though.

What went through your mind the very first time you saw your ring?
"SPARKLYYYYYY" lol, even still I will amaze myself with the sparkle in the window of my car when the sun hits it. I love it. The cat will even chase the reflection if i point it the right way!
